X-RAY SERVICES

During your initial consultation the practitioner will have taken an in-depth health history. If in the history certain criteria are present. (eg: trauma, presence of osteoarthritis etc.), an x-ray will be advised and can be taken at the clinic.

X-rays will help rule out serious pathology, fracture and inflammatory arthritis which would contra-indicate chiropractic and/or physiotherapy. They also provide the practitioner with extra information about your condition and are a useful tool in patient education. X-rays are partially covered by ACC. The criteria for taking an x-ray will be outlined in a consent form you will be asked to complete. (eg: is there any change of pregnancy etc.)

The radiation dose from these x-rays is very minimal and safe, however, if you have concerns or are pregnant, please consult your practitioner.
